The death of former Israeli President Shimon Peres led to a wave of almost unanimous tributes. Representatives from 75 countries came to Jerusalem to attend the funeral. Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas even left Ramallah for a few hours to show up.
Such a consensus could seem to be a sign of support for Israel, but it was something else entirely.
What many Americans don’t realize is that there are American Muslims who oppose Jihad, and who want to reform Islam and are taking action to do so. I have always maintained that the reformation of Islam has to come from within, not from without. One of the people at the forefront of a group of Muslim reformers is my friend, Shireen Qudosi. Read her recent article about CAIR’s complaints about a security expert, Ryan Mauro,who lectured hundreds of law enforcement personnel in New York about CAIR, and its links to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Outstanding! Caroline Glick, speaking to The Royal Geographic Society in London in January of 2013, responding to the resolution to censure Israel because of its housing developments in Judea and Samaria, effectively makes the irrefutable case in support of the developments. A Palestinian has been arrested by Israeli security forces overnight Monday for the murder of Dafna Meir in her home on Sunday evening, The Times of Israel reported.
The suspect was identified as 16-year-old Morad Bader Abdullah Adais from the village of Beit Amra, located nearly 2 miles from the West Bank community of Otniel where Meir was killed. Residents of Beit Amra informed Israeli authorities of Adais’ presence in the village, allowing him to be arrested without incident, according to Israel’s Channel 10.

In Syria, Bashar Assad is trying to bring his enemies to heel by blocking humanitarian convoys to desperate civilians living in besieged towns. The policy is called “starve or kneel,” and it is openly supported by Hezbollah and tacitly by Iran, which has deployed its elite Quds Force to aid Mr. Assad’s war effort.
So what better time for right-thinking liberals to ask: “Is Iran really so evil?”

We hear a lot of reports about how Israel mistreats Palestinian Arabs. I have heard it said by some that Israel treats the Palestinians both in Israel and in the West Bank and Gaza worse than animals. Few have come up with any actual evidence of such treatment, but finally, we have a video that shows exactly how Israel actually treats the Palestinian Arabs.

Cologne happens.
Nor is it only Cologne. That was just Ground Zero of the New Year’s Eve rape jihad in Germany. As National Review’s Ian Tuttle notes in an alarming column about the predictable — and, if I may say, predicted — surge of sexual assault in a Europe overrun by “migrants,” the jihad included similar episodes, albeit on a smaller scale, in Stuttgart, Hamburg, and even astride the Brandenburg gate in Berlin.

Mordechai Kedar, writing in IsraBlog, has come up with what I consider to be a brilliant solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Arab issue. His suggestion, which takes into consideration security for Israel and real on-the-ground realities of Palestinian population centers, has come up with a suggestion for several Palestinian city-states in Samaria and Judea (West Bank).
Palestinian territorial contiguity is dangerous for Israeli national security. For security and demographic reason, Israel must retain as much land as possible in the West Bank. Evacuation of these areas will create a dangerous situation for Israeli security and eventually will necessitate reconquering extensive parts of the West Bank. There is no reason to dismantle and destroy the existing settlements, rather we propose the creation of seven independent and separate city-states within the West Bank, in addition to Gaza.
