Special Message from Gary Aminoff to the Southern California Republican Women and Men:

To my fellow Patriots at SCRW&M,


We have traveled a long way together on this journey.

I tried to think when it was that I first became involved with SCRW&M.  It has to be at least about 20 years.  I think we were meeting at the Tam O’Shanter in Glendale at that time, or was that later? That was before moving to the Smoke House in Burbank.


I have always felt that SCRW&M was a special organization, different from other clubs, even though I was the President of another Republican Club.  The “Forum” where members get to participate and express their opinions is a very compelling part of the attraction of SCRW&M, and something that other clubs should consider.

California Politics in 2019: Not Much To Be Happy About

December is about half gone, and, as the Counting Crows’ Adam Duritz once sang, “it’s getting cold in California.” In another song from the same 1996 album Duritz also sang that it’s been “a long December and there’s reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.”

We hope 2020 will be better than the last, which was a tough political year in California for the freedom-minded. But there’s little reason to believe it will be. The political history in this state has been repeating itself for some time.
